Below is an interview with Ms Kate, who was injured due to the accident at work. The blame for the accident was not clear and the estimated contributory negligence was 50%. After careful analysis and implementation of the strategy, we obtained 75% in favor of the client.

Good Morning, can you tell me how the accident happened?

The accident happened at my workplace, in a warehouse. A colleague driving a fork lift truck hit the back of my forklift (the forks). I felt a pain in my back while standing.

What kind of injuries have you suffered?

I suffered from back pain in the lumbosacral region.

How did the injuries affect your daily life?

I had to stay home for a month. In the first two weeks, my husband helped me with practically everything. I was not even able to take a bath by myself. I also could not drive the car, which meant I was unable to take my son to school, which made the situation at home quite difficult.

How did you find the law firm you entrusted with your case?

I was looking for a compensation firm on the Internet and I came across your law firm.

Could you describe the first steps in your claim?

I had to fill out a few forms, but when I did not understand something, everything was explained to me by your office, which was a big plus for me.

Was there a hearing in court?

No, there was not.

Would you like to say something to other employees who are afraid of their employer’s reaction regarding compensation?

Yes, I think it is worth seeking compensation if we are sure that you are not at fault in the accident, because you are entitled to compensation for the damage and suffering.

What was the most stressful?

Well, for me, the reaction of the employer was the most stressful. I was afraid of dismissal because I do not have fixed working hours.  They met me halfway, due to my childcare commitments, I knew that if I lost this job, it would be very difficult for me to find a job on a similar basis.

Did distance contact affect the case?

According to me, no.

What was the most important for you?

Honestly, I have no idea.

What are you the most satisfied with?

I am satisfied with the quick and smooth course of the case, with a positive effect.

Was it worth trying to get compensation?

As I already mentioned, it is worth it.

What did you get compensation for?

I received compensation for the pain and suffering I got during the accident.

Can you reveal the amount of money you received?

I received an amount of £ 1,800.

Did the situation change at your work?

No, everything is as it was before the accident.

What would you like to tell the people who got into trouble?

First of all, I want to say that there is nothing to be afraid of, whether it is the loss of a job or the reaction of others, because, as I said before, we are entitled to compensation and we have the right to apply for it.
